Пересмотрел Let me make you a martyr - сравнение с Arrival всё же некорректное. Но фильм и правда хороший. На удивление умеренный и по своему очень элегантный, хотя общую атмосферу многие скорее всего найдут депрессивной - "Rellik" by the way of "True Detective". Но мне он почему-то показался скорее оптимистичным.
И да, ни одно "краткое описание" из тех, что я видел, не имеет к фильму почти никакого отношения.
А Мэнсон играет забавного персонажа второго плана, и история вообще не про него, несмотря на его лицо на всех постерах)

Screw that. I really like this film, despite all its flaws. I guess for me it is of a same kind as "Frame" and "ink", even if they seemingly have almost nothing in common. Apart from having some heart, some core, some key genius to them, that makes you ignore what they lack. All three are simple, all three employ metaphors and tools seemingly primitive and obvious, yet find truth where others failed despite using much more sophisticated tools. After all, life is often much simpler than we would like to think.
And while it is a shame that most of the scenes with Manson were cut from the movie - judging by early trailers they were really jucy - that was the right decision after all. Like I said - movie isn't about him.
